o Concurrent Computer Corp. Lowers Earnings Forecast; Shares Drop 24%

Duluth, Ga. -- Shares of Concurrent Computer Corp., a provider of computer
equipment for video-on-demand services, fell $1.03 to $3.34 on Friday -- a
loss of 24% -- after the company lowered its earnings forecast for the
current quarter. Alan Bezoza, an analyst with CIBC World Markets, told
Reuters that investors were over-reacting to a delay in shipments to
Atlanta-based Cox Communications. "The delay is not a capital expenditure
issue," he said. "It's a delay due to a shift (by Cox) from the deployment
of movies on demand toward subscriptions, which could ultimately have a
better effect on (Concurrent)."
